Puppy Socialization and Exposure

If you have a new puppy, you’ve probably heard the advice to get him out and socialize him as much as possible. I agree! But I also think there’s a right way and a not-so-right way! And in my opinion, socialization does not involve a dog park! And sometimes not even another dog! Did that surprise you? 

When your pup is really young it’s a really critical time for exposure, because it will influence how he reacts to new things for the rest of his life.
